Detailed instructions are available on the www.myjbftags.com website... It's so easy! TAGGING:
- Please pay careful attention to your consignor number. Be sure not to transpose your numbers. We cannot accept any items that have crossouts, correction tape or fluid, or scribbles on the tags. If you need to change anything on a tag after you have it on the item, you must make a brand new tag for that item.
- Click "donate" if you want to donate your items to our local charities if they do not sell.
- Check "discount" if you want to allow your items to be sold at half-price, typically on the last day of the sale. We encourage you to allow most of your items to be sold for 1/2-price. Many of the shoppers on 1/2-price day are looking only for those 1/2-price bargains. Items that are not allowed to sell at 1/2-price, typically will not sell if they have not been sold before the end of the full-price day.
- NOTE! After DROP-OFF INSPECTION, YOU WILL NEED TO RE-PRINT ANY INCONSISTENT TAGS.
- Only
Fall/Winter children's and maternity clothing will be accepted for the
Fall events; only Spring/Summer items for the Spring events.
- Please
inspect your items carefully at home; we will also inspect them at
drop-off. Clothes that are soiled, stained or with holes, or out of
season cannot be accepted. JBF reserves the right to deny any
unacceptable items. Please do not feel offended; we simply want to
ensure we offer only the highest quality items.
- We accept Girl's sizes, preemies-16, and Boy's sizes, preemies-20. The only adult clothing accepted will be maternity.
PRICING:
- You set the price! Price to sell, keeping in mind the quality, name brand, and condition of your items.
- JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS suggests starting at 1/3 of the original price.
- We also suggest that you let your items be included in the 1/2-price sales.
- Mark the starting price up if it is something that you are sentimental about, but, of course, it is your decision whether to allow it to sell at 1/2-price.
- Price your items in $1.00 or 50-cent increments. No 99-cents or other increments, please.
- $3.00 RULE
- If your single, hanging clothing item can't bring $3.00 on its own, please pair it with something that will bring it to this amount.
- This applies only to clothing, not toys/equipment. Just Between Friends will be conducting strict inspection of your items to ensure we offer only gently-used or new items.
- Unacceptable items will be returned to you or we can donate them for you.
- SAFETY PINS:
- Use only one-inch or larger safety pins to attach the tag. No straight pins.
- Attach safety pin horizontally on the card.
- For added security, put a piece of packing tape OVER the safety pin to attach it firmly to the tag, but do not allow tape to touch garment since it may leave residue.
- Tagging guns (available at most hobby stores) that insert plastic attachers will be allowed if the plastic attachers are less than 1" in length to keep tags flat against the garment.
- Tagging guns may be used on a seam as near as possible to the safety-pinning location (typically, under the arm of a shirt or on a waist seam/under belt loop for pants).
- PINNING:
- Pin clothing-sets securely together
- Pants should be hung behind the shirt and pinned at the waist on the hanger.
- Both pieces should be able to be viewed without unpinning them.
- Pants hung on a separate hanger tend to come off the hanger and then get separated from the shirt.
- TAGGING GUN:
- You may use a tagging gun to affix your tags to clothing items. These are also available at office supply stores and hobby stores. Please put plastic attacher either under a collar, on a seam, or under the arm to minimize damage to garment.
Spending a little extra time getting your items ready will mean more CA$H for you. Items that are cleaned, ironed, and starched, with all pieces attached, and loose threads clipped, sell much better!! |
